Kenneth R. Phillips

Kenneth R. Phillips is the recently appointed Department Chair for the Industrial Design Department (IND) at Metropolitan State College of Denver (MSCD). Ken’s principle service to the department has been as the primary Design for Production, Furniture Design, and Woodworking faculty person for several years. Ken is one of the developers of Brand Spankin’ New (BSN) the student centered business that now runs out of the Industrial Design and Marketing departments and the Metro State Center for Innovation.

Professor Phillips holds a BA and MA in anthropology from the University of Northern Colorado. He also has a BS in Industrial Technology from Metropolitan State College of Denver and a MS in Manufacturing Technology from Colorado State University. Mr. Phillips has served on the full time faculty at MSCD for eight years and has over twenty-five years experience as an entrepreneur in the woodworking industry .
