ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR AWARD

Are you the next Bill Gates? Is the next Michael Dell sitting in your Statistics class? The Community Financial Services Association of America (CFSA), and Metro State’s Center for Innovation, have teamed up to identify and award top student and alumni entrepreneurs.

If you are a student or alumnus at Metro State College and an entrepreneur, or if you would like to nominate such a person, we encourage you to complete and submit a nomination form today!

ABOUT THE AWARD:

The Entrepreneur of the Year Award Presented by The Community Financial Services Association of America has been created to showcase emerging and established entrepreneurs from Metro State College. The award recognizes entrepreneurs who have successfully started and maintained businesses that have positively impacted the community through job creation, innovation, philanthropy and/or eco-friendliness.

DEADLINES

Nomination Deadline: Friday, April 2, 2010
Finalists Announced: Friday, April 9, 2010
Winners Announced: Thursday, April 15, 2010

Winners will be announced during the awards ceremony. Attendance is open to all nominees and their guests.

AWARD CEREMONY DETAILS

Location: Tivoli Turnhalle
Date: Thursday, April 15, 2010
Time: 6:00pm – 8:30pm

CRITERIA FOR NOMINATIONS

Students are enrolled full-time or part-time,
Student businesses must have at least three customers,
Alumni entrants must have graduated from Metropolitan State College of Denver and have helped to start an organization that has been in business at least two years,
Nominees should save the date of the awards ceremony. Finalists will be announced by Friday, April 9, 2010. Finalists MUST attend the awards ceremony.

WINNERS

One student entrepreneur and one alumni entrepreneur will be selected as Entrepreneurs of the Year Presented by The Community Financial Services Association of America. CFSA will award a $1000 scholarship to the student entrepreneur and a $500 cash award to the alumni winner

INSTRUCTIONS

You may nominate yourself or someone else, and we invite all nominees and nominators to attend the awards ceremony planned for April 15, 2010 at 6:00pm at Auraria Campus Tivoli Turnhalle.

Complete the Nomination Form completely. Incomplete applications will not be considered. When finished, please submit nomination form as an attachment in an email sent to csciaca@mscd.edu. Please write “ENTYEAR Awards Nominee” in the subject line. Thank you, and good luck!
